Albert Hofmann passes on at 102: it is not dying

Without this guy, what would your life have been like? I mean, sure, there are other ways to explore the outer reaches - but it's pretty interesting to think just how much has come into this world, good and bad, due to one man.

(There's a thread on the Nomeanswhatever forum where you can share your "without Albert Hoffman, I never would have..." stories, btw).

I don't even know where to begin. Where would I be with the influence of his "problem child"? For better and worse (in terms of worse...my current legal situation), but mostly better, LSD-25 has changed my life like nothing else. LSD didn't make me simply "trip"- it imbued me with a sense of purpose, expanded the box that it enabled me to think outside of, and worked wonders on my interpersonal relationships. I might not be able to use it any more...but I don't need to. The values and experiences I gleaned from Hofmann's synthesis are enough to last me a life time. RIP...I can't wait for the day I can ride on his handlbars into the cosmos that birthed him.
